Looking to expand my knowledge

I really want to expand my kowledge on all different parrots. Are their any books or websites that you can reccamend. Other than general information, I am also interested in learning about parrot behavior, I.e why they behave a certain way, why they bite, and how to properly correct behaviors.

I like watching youtube videos also I know it's not always the "best" information, but I just like seeing videos of parrots and their behavior

For a few hours today I was reading a lot on Avianweb.com. I was reading mosly about behaviors and how to fix bad behaviors- when to ignore it and using positive reinforcement. Then was was reading about plucking and different kinds of parrots I still have a lot more to read from that site! I will probably go on YouTube when I have time after I finish reading the site

Go on here Jamieleigh's Parrot Help and read ALLLLLL of her blog entries, lol.

I have learned SO much about keeping Medium/Large sized Parrots from her blog posts and going back and reading her old ones.

Yes, read as much as you can but the best thing you can do is observe your birds carefully. They are the best teachers.

i spend most of my day watching my flock on the tree. after reading a lot yesterday, i did realize somethings that i have been doing "wrong", but i think they are mostly know the routine and they are too tight of a flock to do any minor changes with an individual birds training things are a little jumbled up with me switching their cages right now, but they will soon get used to the new house!

I have gotten a vast amount of behavioural/training knowledge from theparrotforum.com also got his book The Parrot Wizards Guide to Well Behaved Parrots. Phenominal information. Has helped me immensely. I went from not knowing a thing about parrots when I got a rehome/rescue that bit the crap out of me, to now having a well behaved/trained bird. Honestly invaluable info for me. I pick up other stuff along the way from other bird forums etc...but I would have to credit 95 percent to that site and his blogs with video tutorials etc.
