Smile Meet our new addition, Bubby the Galah.

Bubby is a re-home that I picked up on Wednesday. He is around 7 months old, he is very friendly and affectionate, he fluffs his head up and stretches his neck out for cuddles and kisses. His previous owner didn’t have the time for him anymore/couldn’t look after him because of her 2 dogs, and she is joining the air-force.

The whole family loves him (and are spoiling him), he is happy to give plenty of kisses out and he loves my mum especially, he fell asleep on her last night while getting scritches from her. He also took to my brothers really quickly too, he is really friendly towards them.

He is a total nutter overall (I have nick named him sir nutter) and has his random screaming outbursts during the day, and he is a mad head banger, loves music. We adore him though, he is such a sweet heart and we are over the moon to have him and give him a forever home.

Anyways, here are some photos!

And this is his cage set-up and play stand/play area..

Lol the random yelling through the day is a young Galah trait. My baby does the same thing. All of a sudden during the day will do a huge dummy spit, wings going everywhere and crest up running around the cage and yelling. It is quite funny to watch.

Kate, it definitely is! I go into fits of laughter when Bubby does it, he is such a spaz. Thanks everyone, he is a pleasure to have.

Here are a few videos of Bubby:

YouTube - Bubby - Day 2

YouTube - Bubby being a.. well, Cockatoo! (this is one of his outbursts, don’t have your speakers turned right up!)

What a sweet little guy! And his yelling is not so bad, my parrotlet, Healey can almost match that when he gets in a mood to raise a ruckus and sing. Bubby looks like a pretty happy little dude.

I just played the third video and boy did that wake my baby up. Crest up head looking around and answering back. Trying to figure out where the other Galah was.

Jackie that was not a full on. You should be in the same room when a full on is happening, it is ear splitting.

Yes Nanay that is juvenile colouring. It also varies between youngsters on the amount of grey in the pink. Mine is a bit younger than Bubby but her grey is almost gone now.

I still have stacks of wild youngsters around me too at the moment, as well as their parents.
