Not sure if it was Einstein that died. But I know that Alex the other famous Grey died. He was the one that Dr Irene Pepperburg was studying.

Yes, I'm sure that's correct Kate. I've been doing some reading up on Einstein, and I think people often confused her with Alex, who died in 2007.

These birds are amazing, and if you want to know more just Google Einstein, the talking African Grey.

We have a beautiful Australian bird that is just as clever as the African Grey. They are the Gang Gang Cockatoos. But no one has tried to study them or really tried to get them to talk. But like the Grey they get bored easily and will pluck themselves. Saying that I still love Greys and would love to own one.
