Needy Budgies....can you help?

Hi everyone...sad news, as I mentioned on TB....

About a month ago my partner, LB, lost her job as a schoolteacher. We are now financially strapped and, though we had hoped things wouldn't come to this, our parakeets Ira, Issa, Izzie, Esche, Eli and Splat are stuck in a too-small cage, hoping for more freedom and someone who has more time, money and space for them. We simply can't afford best-quality food or a new cage to keep them in, and on top of that our landlord and her parents are "encouraging" us to remove them. We will be keeping two birds, Popcorn our IRN and Gemmy, our diamond dove, but all the rest of animals, including four guinea pigs, three hamsters, and a turtle, must go.

Is there anyone in PA in the Philly area who might be interested in giving our precious little ones a good home? I would really appreciate knowing they would go to people with bird experience. I could even probably convince LB to lower the adoption fee or remove it for the right home.

Let me know....thanks.

- Mallory

I am very sorry to hear this. I cannot have them as I'm too far away! But I really do wish you all the best in finding them new homes. Let us know how it all goes please
