Senegal bobbing head

Does anyone elses senegal bob their head? Dolly has started bobbing her head when she is sitting on my finger. She is usally nibbling on my fingernails too. I've never had a bird regurgitate on me but could that be what she's doing? She does it 3-4 times.

I don't have a sennie but I know most birds bob their heads when they go to regurgitate, so I'd assume that was what is was do you have any way of filming it?

I had a sennie, he did the head bob and regurgitated for me. A nice complement but messy!

It could be just a dance or it could be solicitation. Is the bird lifting its wings a bit and kind of fluttering the wings, too? Roni likes to just play and dance. When she lifts her wings, too, it is solicitation and I just look away or at times even have to put her down.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Nope, no wing lifting either- I'm trying to get her to do it on video but of course when I want her to do it, she doesn't LOL! She is still very young- she's only 3 1/2 months old.

She may be just playing, but, actually, since she is that young, do you think it might be a begging - feeding response? She may be asking to be hand-fed.

I thought it might that at first too nanay so I offered her some formula and she didn't want it. I think she is just playing - she only does it after she's been picking at my fingernails.
