This dork

Reptar loves climbing down faces. Literally. He will fly to your head, tangled himself all up in your hair and climb down the side of your face. Ears are not safe. Usually ends up with him clinging to your hair, lying on his back, hanging upside down on your chest. Erryday. Not entirely a pleasant experience, he holds on pretty dang hard and isn't exactly graceful on the way down, but its hilarious to watch nonetheless.

I love it. I have mostly untamed tiels, which I am more than fine with. Its been such a weird experience having such a quirky velcro bird. Couldn't help sharing his most recent trek down Mt. Lindsay.

Hahaha, awww. Love the look on your face, ha. :P How old is he? Just a baby still? Hopefully he doesn't turn on you once he hits sexual maturity!

Thanks, lol. He was born the first week of March, best I can figure, so three-ish months? Honestly really scared of him getting older! I know theres going to be a shift, but it'll be interesting to see how drastic that change is.

Yeah for sure! From everything I've read and people have said they have their moody phase around 2 years old but then once breeding season is over they go right back to their sweet selves.

It's actually sooner than two years (the smaller the species, the faster it matures). All GCCs have this love affair with long hair but Reptar has made it into an art -LOL

Reptar is adorable! I too have a Velcro bird who loves to climb down my face. It's fun and makes for great pics, but it sure gets annoying after awhile haha. Karma to you!

Well, at least in knowing how strong the bond is with us now, I have no doubt we'll make it through his trouble phase whatever the age (: I'll look into it more though for sure, like what age it'll most likely come on.

It's funny to feel it when you can't really watch whats happening, isn't it Echo. lol. Thanks though guys! It's hilarious how often this happens during the day, I'm the human jungle gym for sure.

Just so darn cute!!! My linnie Bindi loves to get into my hair, wrapping it around her, not easy to get her out but I don't want to stop her either

I've had similar experiences with conures in the past! In my experience, conures start to get rather nippy at about a year or so. It can be hard, but getting through it is so worth it!
