makes me LOL

My new conure is soo funny... he makes me laugh. I have only had him a week and he will go to any one to play , but last night I found out that he keeps an eye on me while out with other people. Sis in law and myself were on the living room floor playing with my conure Tiki. I had to go into the kitchen and as soon as I walked away , Tiki tried to follow me... When he got a few feet from S-I-L he just stood there watching the door way I vanished in and waited for me to come back... when I reappeared he made a funny sound and hopped, jumped, walked, sideways over to me ( looked like a little vulture and I put my hand down and he climbed right up to my neck... snuggled his head under my chin and pressed his little body to me and gently preened my neck with his beak and tongue for about 5 minutes while I stroked and talked to him... It felt VERY good to know he is bonding so well with me after only 1 week... I absolutely LOVE this bird... ( still adore my little blue brat parrotlet

SO SWEET! Tiki sounds amazing! So happy to hear that everything is going so well!

I also have a little blue P'let -- in my case, she's a DIVA! She's not cuddly like Libby, but has bonded to me pretty well. I've had her 2 years, it only took ONE YEAR for her to even start liking me and not rip my fingers off! We had a breakthrough last night! She actually let me rub her head and neck with my thumb while she was sitting on my finger!!! Only with my thumb though! DIVA!

Now Libby, she's a whole different story! She loves cuddling and head rubbing! What a bird!

My plet is not what I would call cuddly He is a grumpy little soul who likes to come out and sit on your shoulder or finger and eat hemp seeds.. he likes a little head rubbing an scratching , but on HIS terms... He does love his human contact with hubby and me but it is always on his Tiki has his moments when he acts like a brat also... when told no he will give a funny chirp and then nip lightly... never bites hard , but is immediately dealt ( put back in cage , placed on the couch and ignored for a few moments... etc) and is coming along real good. Seems to love men... if I have him out and a man comes by he is soo interested and will happily go right to Hubby says it must be female!!
