i think bowie might have a tumor (like butch did). he is just so cubby and he is awkward when he flies (which is once a day from his cage to the trees). he flies more straight up than forward. he does have a weak foot and its missing a toe, so landing might be the real scary thing for him.

anyways, every time i pick him up its like holding a ball. he's been like this for a while now, and the vets never said anything. most of the time he just sits around. occasionally he will try to bathe when i am misting the others.

Judging from where most of the fat is I would say that it is a fatty lipoma. It's usually due to poor nutrition. I have a budgie who came to me like it and over time he appears to have gotten worse. He lives in an aviary. I won't vet him until I think he's suffering in any way but he gets about just fine. Fatty lipomas are fat tumours

Ok that's what I was thinking. Butch also had a fatty tumor which has gone down. He is still a little plump but not nearly as much as Bowie. Butch always liked flying too. Hopefully t shrinks more with this new seed
