Red face snuggle huts & tents

I've heard controversy on using snuggle huts & tents especially if the parrot is female. I've been told that it tends to make them go into egg laying. I need ideas and suggestions. Thanks

The reason why it can make a female bird want to lay eggs is because it's dark, secure and comfortable. Like a nest! It's somewhere to hide in and somewhere safe enough to have chicks and so that causes their hormones to fluctuate and so on so forth. The main concern is birds getting caught up in them/chewing on them and having the strings or fuzz build up inside of them, leading to a very ill bird or a dead one! Just be very careful with them or don't use them at all. I used to like my birds having them but I wouldn't offer them again

I was thinking of just using one of those soft squares of material they have at the Birdfarm & just hang it in the corner so he can get under it
