Question are these safe to use?

or does anyone use these?

http://www.mysafebirdstore.com/produ...6&product=6047

these are on mysafebirdstore.com, and i do trust them to have bird safe things, but i am not sure about air fresheners. i really want to get one.. in my room there are 9 budgies and my is door closed a lot when they are out or too keep drafts out. i have an air purifier (with hepa filter), but sometimes my room has that "bird smell" despite that i clean cages and vacuum daily. so i would like to get these if the are safe!!

I found this on mybirdstore.com...
AIR FRESHENERS 100% natural odor eliminating air fresheners. Not all air fresheners are safe around birds. Febreeze is NOT safe to use around birds. However, you CAN use CITRUS MAGIC around birds and other pets.

I got a 2 pack at target today and they work good. I cut only half of the front off rather the. Peel the whole thing off so its not too strong. I love them

I may sound stupid, but I wonder why things like febreeze aren't safe but those are? I understand that those are solid so they're obviously not up in the air being breathed in, but I dunno? Just seems odd to me I'm glad they're working for you though!

That's what I was wondering. I do know that the "fragrance" in the ingredients is supposed to be harmful (for both humans and birds). Unfortunately, I took a look at the Citrus Magic and it does include "fragrance". If you notice the front label, it says "naturally absorbs odors"...doesn't mean it's 100% natural. The ingredient that absorbs odors is baking soda. I wouldn't keep it too near the birds (or in a small room). I try to avoid these things, but I am guilty of using plug ins by the entrance of the house (to help get rid of the dog smell, because I don't feel like doing dog laundry every other day ). In the kids room, i put small plastic containers (like the ones you get takeout soup in) with holes punched in the top and filled with baking soda--sometimes I add a couple of drops of essential oils. It helps, not as strong as the artificial stuff, but if you keep changing it every 6 weeks it does a decent job. For fabrics I mix a few drops of essential oils, a teaspoon of alcohol and a pint of water to make my own "febreeze". Again, it doesn't last as long as the artificial stuff but it also smells better and doesn't irritate your throat the way that febreeze does. And it's customizable . I like jasmine and orange, or lemon and eucalyptus.

after the initial opening, they don't really smell. it says on the front that it uses baking soda. the birds are still normal though, so i guess its working ok!

I love fabric perches because I can throw them in the wash. The bird feels so fresh after they are all clean!
