Parrot missing for years returns speaking Spanish

I wanted to post the entire story but I'm concerned about "All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed." etc.

In any case here's a story about a parrot that was reunited with his human after 4 years.

My only question is how could have the vet confuse this bird, for her own. But perhaps she didn't have her's long enough to form a bond.

Parrot missing for years returns speaking Spanish

Now I'm going to go to the Google & look up microchipping smaller parrots (specifically cockatiels & parrotlets)

I saw this too! Microchipping is definitely a good idea. At the AV I worked at they were doing an experiment on pain relief before putting them under as they said that it can actually be very painful (not just the microchip going into the pectoral muscle, but the actually putting them under process!) so I had volunteered one of my birds, an orange winged Amazon parrot, to be done. Had I not of lost my flock I would have certainly had everybody done and any future birds I would like to have done. I would really like to get my Harris' hawk and American kestrel microchipped too! I think it's a really good idea. I don't know if they'd do a parrotlet, but a cockatiel perhaps? It is worth calling around and asking
