Where to find a Linnie in/near NYC?

Hi everyone!

After asking around and doing some research, I think I'd like a linnie best of all. The trouble is, I can't seem to find one! Does anyone know of any lineolated parakeet breeders or shops in or near New York City? I can't drive, but I'll go anywhere I can take the train to. Thanks a lot!

You might ask on the lineolated parakeet society Facebook page.

Good choice! There are some around. I think there is a breeding section on this forum. If you read some of those threads you may find who breeds and then send them a pm. Hth

one of my friends worked at a place called Fauna for a while and they specialize in birds and reptiles, LOTS of exotics, they also do a lot of hand feeding (he would send me pictures all the time, adorable!) I don't know for a fact if they have linnies, but they do have a large variety of birds large and small. It's worth looking into I also don't know exactly where the store is, but I know it's somewhere in the "general NYC area" haha because that's where he lives. Good luck!

I've been to Fauna - they are amazing! No linnies, but still, if you're in town it's worth a visit! They've got a mynah - when was the last time you saw a mynah bird anywhere? Thanks for the tip!
