meet my new additions!

Meet my newest additions, Salt and Pepper! I saw them at my avian vet's office when we were there with Louie for his nail trim. I just fell in love with them! They were left at my vet's because the elderly gentleman who owned them had to move to an assisted living facility and couldn't take them there. So far everyone is getting along pretty good!

Can't seem to get the pics to load. I'll keep trying. They're two cockatiels, a yellow face gray and yellow face cinnamon. Not sure, but almost positive both are males.

If they've got yellow faces then they're males Congratulations! Hope you can get the photos to upload!

Yeah, they came in a small 18 x18 x30 rusting cage. So now they have "the Taj Mahal"! At first they were afraid of it and now they seem to love it!! I tried letting them out. Only Pepper, the darker one, comes out. Henry is a chicken!!

Thank you! I think they're beautiful too. Yes, they both "sing" I guess you could call it. they both take turns sticking their heads in the three sided mirror they came with and kind of whistle. I guess they think the acoustics are better there. it sounds like someone once tried to teach them a song, but i can't figure out what it is they're trying to sing. I guess its singing, I've never heard cockatiels before. They do whistle! Thank you for confirming they're males. The techs at my vet's office where I got them told me they were were told Henry (Salt) the cinnamon, was an older female and Pepper was a younger male. Both have solid colored tails and bright yellow faces. So I changed Salt's name to Henry, just cause Salt didn't sound right for him. they're good little boys!
