What age do alexandrine parrots fly?

Typically what age do they fly?

I have a new baby that I got recently and he has grown from just about palm size to over a foot insanely fast. He's been flapping his wings really fast the last few days and today he managed to "fly" across the room a little. Since I don't know exactly how old he is I thought maybe this can help me pin down his age?

He was hand fed so far but can eat on his own now although he still likes some food by hand a couple of times a day.

On average they fledge at around 7 to 8 weeks. Some are older, some are younger but that is the average.

Oh is that so? I was told he was 3-4 months old. Guess we were mistaken about his age. But he's pretty big now. About 12-13 inches from head to the tip of his tail. Is that how big he should be at 7 to 8 weeks!

Thank you. He looks like the 2nd picture so I'm guessing he's 7 to 8 weeks or thereabouts
