Turquoise Green Cheek Conures

My female conure is setting on four eggs in her nest box. My male has been real aggressive as of late. I am assuming being protective. The problem is that when she try's to eat he won't let her. I'm concerned she isn't getting enough to eat. Should I remove him? Another thing is if the eggs hatch will he help feed the babies and not harm them. I have had several red rump parakeets have babies with no problems. This is my first clutch with the conures . Any help would be appreciated . Thanks

Hi Bella, welcome to our forum!
Are you sure your male doesn't feed his wife in the nest box?

Thanks for responding! He does go in the nest, so he very well may be. We understand the aggression towards us but was concerned when he guards his food. She is able to eat some but he quickly pushes her away. Hopefully you are correct and he is feeding her in the nest. Prior to her laying eggs we had no issues with aggression .We will keep a close eye on them and see what happens.. Thanks a bunch!
