Looking into getting a Quaker, Im aware they are very vocal. What else should I know about them?

Don't have one, but know they are usually cage aggressive and they are illegal in many states.

^ as said above, they're illegal in many states so you'll have to figure out whether or not you could legally own one. And as also stated above they can be very cage aggressive. I have personally owned and worked with quakers. The tame bird I worked with didn't like hands on or in her cage and would go into attack mode if you came too close. The pair I kept in an aviary would scream blue murder if I entered their enclosure and would be very hard to get around

The noise is bad. There's nothing quite like it but an upset quaker can cause some ear ache. Have you heard the babies when they're due a feed? Oh my gosh haha. I can tolerate macaws, cockatoos etc. but quakers do go right through me. Love them though

They're not bad birds at all and can be soppy tame but a bit nippy. Love them and hate them all at once. They like to cause havoc. I wouldn't recommend one to many haha

Quakers are funny goofy birds but can be very nippy and when they nip it HURTS, they also can be one person birds. My inlaws has bonded to the hubby and will tolerate the wife but usually only if hubby isn't home. If she tries to get him to step up from hubby she can take a nasty bite... Not a species I would want to own, he is extremely noisy with his wild jungle cry he can keep up for hours... Love him to death, but wouldn't want to own him, bird sitting him for a week is plenty for me...lol
