Brute Squad updates

Hi all, I haven't been by for a few months, or longer. It's the knitting, I have the disease now and there is no known cure. More about that on another thread.

All our babies are fine though. They count rows for me. Lets see, the conures are bouncing and flying. Oggie jumped Tuco a few weeks ago and Tuco won that round for sure. Oggie had a bloody leg, and Tuco just a sore leg. Since then Oggie has calmed down considerably. And don't worry about his leg, alittle bag balm goes a long way. Both recovered fully.

The tiels are fine and sassy. Wings were clipped to tame the beast that would not behave and be put to bed. It didn't take long for the flights to grow back, only a month!

All the budgies are well. I did finally figure out why Cosmo looked like May West. She is a food/sex junky, and Happymeal was only too happy to keep feeding her, and doing the other you know what. So she is in her own cage and on rations. She looks good now. But very time we let them all loose to visit and torment the others she gets fed too bursting. I'm telling you, she has an addiction.

Our plet Sweetpea can land on any cage she chooses and have complete immunity. No one messes with the rattlesnake!

I was sick last few weeks with a cold that one morning turned ugly, so I went I and had a chest ray since I have asthma. Results came back clean, so that makes me happy. I do have arthritis in all major joints though. I had those xrayed also......

We are still missing Nan a and don't talk about her much, she was such a big part of our life in the 16? Months we had her with us. Someday I want another pi or even two, but not here and not till we have more room and less other birds.

My granddaughter took Frenchfry, one of our budgies to school for show and tell recently. Frenchfry was a show off and took the whole event like she does it all the time. The kids were asking if she could hang upside down and as soon as they asked she did it. Smart little buggers they are.

I am at another school this year, again no other bird lovers. They all think I'm mad. Well, I am but that's not the point,

Glad you are back. How are you able to knit with the arthritis? However you do it, I'm glad you are enjoying it so much.

They say knitting is good for arthritis. Keeps the joints in the hands limber. I have a friend with RA who does alot of knitting.

Nanay, I can knit all afternoon with my new needle set, Addi Lace clicks, nickel plated. The yarn slides on and off the needles with no drag at all. Aluminum or bamboo or plastic needles all grip, or drag the yarn. An investment to be sure, but so worth it. The first six months I was using bamboo and a aluminum needles and had so much pain. I finally gave in and payed for the Addi's, and oh my are they worth it.my knitting is faster now, so I can make mistakes and rip them out faster!!

Thank you for that information. If I would decide to take up knitting, I will remember this. I do miss making things.
