Sorry

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much I have been dealing with quite a bit recently.

The Good: I finished my second year of Nursing School and I am going into my third year here in the Fall.

The okay: I have been having a lot of trouble with my linnies and laying eggs, they won't stop unfortunately... This was always a worry of mine of having a female now I am living it.

The BAD: I recently have been dealing with a death in my family. I lost my father suddenly (May 8th, 2016). It had been unexpected. He died in his sleep of a heart attack... He was 54years old and I am an only child. I am doing better

So I have had a lot going on and I haven't really been myself.
-Nikki

Thanks ~Drini~ (Other Forum)
Rest in Peace... (Trixster) 03/17/2000

As far as I can see: You have two female linnies now?
How many eggs have they layed this season?

My Yuki also makes three clutches a year.
Our Avian gave me the following advice:
Please give them enough calcium in combination with vitamin D3, for example Calcivet.
During the egg laying period please feed them hard boiled egg yolk.
Never remove the eggs without replacing them by dummies, otherwise they won't stop laying, because they want to complete their clutch.
When they begin to lay please offer them a nestbox to "breed" their eggs, while breeding they won't lay new ones.
when they leave their clutch after about three weeks. because nothing hatches, please remove all tunnels, caves and everything that could remind them of a parrot's nest from their cages. Only a sleeping cabin where the floor is replaced by branches for sitting is allowed, for example like this:

I hope your girls will stop their permanent egg laying soon.
