Question Harnesses for Birds

I really want to look into getting my birds harnesses because I want to take them out with me but clipping their wings is just cruel, you wouldn't tell a fish not to swim and you shouldn't tell a bird not to fly.

Does anyone own any harnesses? How easy are they to put on and take off? Also any brand recommendations? I want harnesses for my 2 month old cockatiels and my adult green cheek conures.

I was thinking something like this because it doubles as a diaper and my birds poop as they please: https://www.amazon.com/X-Small-Fligh...%2Bconure&th=1

I use flightsuits and aviators. But keep in mind that wearing a harness is a TRAINED BEHAVIOR, it isn't just like putting a harness on a dog.

Like SilverSage says harnesses are a trained behavior experience you have to have good trust and easy hands on handling of your birds to get them to accept being strapped in.

This flight and potty suit is more of a full body experience and having your bird accept being put on/in it might not work right away. Hopefully your birds are hand tame and easy going so you can work at getting them interested in being in the suit. Good luck, let us know if you get it and how it works out for you and your fidlets.

My birds are very tame, my cockatiels were hand fed as baby's and they trust me to the fullest. And for my Green Cheek Conures I don't plan to harness them for a while till they fully trust me.

Hand tame and trusting is great then, you should be able to harness the tiels and in time your gcc.
