Question What are your birds afraid of?

In the past all my birds have been afraid of the color red in fruits or vegetables, despite them loving green or orange and yellow peppers they refused to eat any red peppers.

They also didn't like strangers coming in the house so much so that one budgie would swoop and dive bomb at people's faces and heads and scream in anger. My own personal budgie body guard.

Budgies seem to be more prone to this. I had some that would not eat out of a red feed dish. A friend had a cockatoo that hated black, every time he went into the aviary with a black shirt on the bird would attack him. One of my Corella's hates the scoop I use to fill his feed bowl with and will attack it and me. Another one of my too's doesn't like strangers and panics every time a stranger is around. Mine don't seem to have a problem though with any colour of fruit or vegetable.

My African grey is afraid of our big red broom! Every time my husband passes her with it, she hisses and does threatening gestures in that direction, something she NEVER does to my hubby!

Budgies are so nervous of a lot of things, they are suspicious little birds. Funny your corella hate the scoop.

I'd be afraid of your big red broom too, that thing comes and steals food and feathers and seed husks from the floor while making its own hissing noise.

Your grey is smart !
