Smile Solar Eclipse Will it Affect Your Birds?

Do you live where you will be able to view the solar eclipse today? The scientists claim that animals such as birds cats dogs etc can be affected by the darkness. In fact, BATS are known to come out and fly during this event.

I'm curious how it will affect your bird/s or if it will affect them at all. I know SPX gets quiet when it gets darker in the evening when he wants to have the cage covered so he can sleep. I am hoping he won't think that its sleepy time at 1pm this afternoon.

Let us know here if you will be in the eclipse darkness and let us know if you see any change in your bird or birds. It will be interesting to know.

If you put your Zip code or Postal code in this link below it will determine the time the eclipse will appear in your area if you are in the location of this event.

I hr and 30 mins counting down from where I am right now!

Welp. SPX didn't care or react in any way to the solar eclipse, we ended up getting a ton of cloud cover and rain so not much happened here for him to react to.

He was his regular old nasty loud crazy self. Same ole same ole!

We stayed with our birds during the eclipse in case it did anything. No difference in behavior though, it was still nice to stay indoors and spend some quality time with them
