Have you seen the documentary where one attempts to mate with somebody that Stephen Fry is filming with? It's hilarious

Such unusual birds. Like most of the New Zealand ground-dwelling birds, their numbers have crashed rapidly due to the introduction of predators such as cats. It's a real shame. Thankfully people are doing what they can to help them and they seem to be doing well

I have always enjoyed watching their slow, deliberate movements
