Parrot movie

Last night I watched a movie called The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill. Has anybody else watched it? I thought it was fabulous. Maybe that's because I'm a conure lover but it was a really interesting film. It was so fascinating to see the behavior of the conures in a flock as opposed to how we usually see them. The guy in the story was an interesting guy too. I have to say I thought it was one of the better films I've seen lately. It was funny, sad, informative, thought provoking. When you just have one or two birds you can't really appreciate the pecking order and I really saw that in action in this movie. It also shows how birds allow us into their world on their terms, not ours.

There's a book too I guess which also got good reviews. I may get that now as well to see how it compares to the film.

It was pretty cool how the birds knew him and did trust him because they really were essentially wild. I guess it took a year for him to get to that point with them. It goes to show that patience can pay off sometimes.

I've seen it, it's quite good and a very bittersweet story

I've heard of it and knew it was on Netflix but I never really got around to watching it. Maybe I will!

Very good movie! I cannot wait to find "Of Parrots and People" when it comes out.
