Free Senegal with his cage?????? WHAT???

THis was just posted on Kijiji Vancouver

Martin is a 3 year old senegal parrot. He is a bit troubled, and while he has bonded to me, he is cage protective and a loud/aggressive at times. He has a vocabulary, but I think what he really needs is a lot of training and one-on-one time. Hi loves watching tv, and getting head scratches from the right person!

I have not clipped his wings, but I think that would really help with his behaviour. Our tenants are not happy with the noise, and we must give him up. I'm looking for someone who understands parrot psychology, and is willing to work with him patiently. He needs a good home! (he may also be sexually frustrated too).

here's the link: http://vancouver.kijiji.ca/c-pets-bi...AdIdZ389250855

Andrew will kill me, but I've offered to help the woman any way I can, just because I dont want this bird going to the wrong home, her certainly sounds like a very troubled little fellow...

I suggested Greyhaven as well, just because his issues could be worked out in a foster home, before he could be adopted to a home that better suits his needs

Wow, you don't see that very often. Good on you for trying to help the person out, I hope he finds a good home!

That's precisely why I want to help them. I dont want this bird to go to someone who claims to know what they are doing, and the poor bird gets even more aggressive and cage possessive.

Exactly, and then he would most likely be neglected and then sent on to another home.
You should see if you can take him, at least for now.

What if you fostered him and found him a new home? That is if you don't get too attached.

My good friend that fosters for Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary can also give him a place to stay, so its just a waiting game to hear back now...
