Some of you will know (if you read my Morris thread and have seen my YouTube videos) I have been hand raising a poor little mauve budgie chick who had been on the verge of death. Well he recovered brilliantly
I told the lady she was welcome to come and pick him up today because he was ready and I was already attached so I would like him to go ASAP.
Well she just picked him up, she was here no longer than five minutes just thanking me but then she handed me this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340357335.834277.jpg
And an envelope but I couldn't even bare to open it in front of her because Morris was leaving and I was gunna cry!
As soon as she left I opened it and got this
I cried! She'd also put some money in there for me. I'm so glad that somebody was so nice to me!
I also sobbed yesterday because a few weeks ago I had asked Jacks younger brother (he has asperges and is obsessed with birds of prey) to come over. We surprised him when he walked in because I was stood there with Chalkie and I asked if he wanted to fly him. He was very nervous but eventually he flew him! Not just held but flew him
he was petting him for a while too. Afterwards I found out all of Chalkie's old equipment and labelled it all, popping it in a box which I had wrapped in a bird magazine as decoration and put an old glove and hood in there too. I also popped loads of labelled raptor feathers in there AND I went out and printed a photo of him and Chalkie, bought a simple cheap frame and stuck Chalkie's tail and wing feathers around it for decoration! I was quite proud of it. Anyways when he opened it he was over the moon, he even took it to school! Yesterday Jacks mom came over and dropped off this
( that cage in the background under my big cage is where the baby budgies start weaning in before moving up so don't worry! )
It's nice being nice
