May be getting Rodeo a friend!

I'm not for certain or not but my wife and I might be getting a pineapple conure from the same place we got Rodeo. I have to admit it is a lot sooner than I anticipated but Rodeo is more my temperament and my wife wants one she can bond to. This one looks like a female. I know they say you can't tell but I read somewhere online that you can tell on a conure from the width of the white circle around their eye. Rodeo's is much thicker than this ones is. But it will be a couple weeks before we get her. Alyssa had her step up and then she just went straight to Alyssa's shoulder. She wasn't bad or anything, very polite, whereas Rodeo is very rotten and doesn't come down very easily, and she did

Will they be housed separately? My birds both love me but being together creates separation anxiety if I want one without the other! I 'visually' sexed my female. The whole time I thought she was a he and well I was wrong when the DNA came back

Congratulations though

I was initially going to leave them in seperate cages next to one another so there isn't a territorial issue but we'll have to see. It would be nice if they could be housed together after a couple weeks but if they get protective or have seperation problems then I'll cross that bridge when it gets here. We aren't home as much during the week. Rodeo still gets an hour a day out of cage time Tues through Friday but it would be nice if they could keep eachother company while we're not home.

I just hope they'll still have her. She's been there since we bought Rodeo a month ago, I feel bad for her cause she's been at that store so long without a home, but its a good store, and they're good people. I wonder if they'll remember eachother. If it wasn't for the fact that I would think he would be territorial I would just put them in the same cage to start off with.
