i am sooo confused

so now that the fids are in separate cages i am so confused. i like putting the cages next to each other but then they are all weird when i separate them. when i train, they are now scared of me and lenny just flew to the side of the cage then flew out of the door of the cage. butch now sits facing me on the perch instead of back wards like normal. he is also not eye pinning which makes it harder. i dont know how long i should let them be before training again or if i should keep the cages next to each other, in the same room, or in separate rooms

what do i do???? just yesterday when they were together lenny would come on my finger and everything, it makes me sad and i feel like i have to start over again

I would leave their cages beside each other (they have been living together in one cage, right?) And then take them separately to a different room to train.

Can you take the birds one-by-one to a smaller room to train? Like the bathroom or something? Take only the bird, not the cage.

I don't know what to suggest, other than perhaps keep them in seperate rooms. Maybe they're just going through some bad anxiety with the split?

they are doing better and a nearly back to normal i am trying a lot of different things and now i am going to try keeping them in different rooms for the whole day and work with them a lot and spend time with them, then at night put the cages next to each other

Sounds like they just needed time to get used to the new set up
