New Rescue (Possibly)

Have been informed by a friend who has someone who works for an animal charity over here there is a Galah Cockatoo in desperate need of a home.

Not got all the details yet and won't post too much however fingers crossed I am just waiting on the phonecall to say they are in and I can bring him home.

Please keep fingers and wings crossed for me to bring this guy home, from what I have heard he needs it!

Got the ok from my parents, got a lot of conditions attached to it however if I can get him and save him from the hell he is in now I will gladly do it.

Still no news yet, I know the person wouldn't be back till after 3 sometime today, just waiting by my phone praying they haven't changed their minds.

As soon as I get the phone call I'll be setting up his very temporary cage then once I assess how bad he is I'll be calling the vets right away for an appointment. Just wondering how I am going to manage two Parrots on a bus to the vets and back lol, might have to blag a lift of someone again

Really annoyed, just had the phone call with the person in contact with the owner and apparently they have sold the bird and sold it today! How convienient for them!!!

I bet they haven't and that poor boy has to stay living in that tiny guinea pig cage fed only on sunflower seeds

I doubt they've sold him, seems way too obvious that he goes on the day they are told a home has been found for him for free

Was really hoping to get him aswell.

Basically a rescue went in and took some of their animals off them, they saw the bird and the owners said if they could find someone to take him they could have him as they wanted rid, this was Monday, they knew they were finding someone, I confirmed today I could take him and apparently they sold him today. seems too obvious to me. Apparently they had been trying to sell him for a while with no luck, and no wonder with how he's being kept

They aren't actually a charity that deals with birds which is why they couldn'tjut take him in the first place, they don't have the power to take birds from owners
