the scare of my life

well as some of you know my dog had puppies so her and the puppies have been in the house well i was sitting in the living room when i heard my tiels screaming then my oldest daughter was screaming. i ran into the dining room where my tiels are and the door to the cage is open and two birds are out i see one in the window then i see annie my brittany spaniel going after another i try to call her off but she was not stopping final when i got to her i shooed her away and out the door i went to get tweety out of the floor he was missing a good many feathers i scooped him up and then because he was still scared he bit me and good he would not let go till he saw his cage and got in. once both birds were in the cage i washed my finger it is bruised and bleed for a bit but i think it is ok no serious damage. well after tweety settled down for a bit i got him out and checked him over other than the fact he lost a few feathers he is fine. annie was not trying to kill him she was trying to pick him up to bring to me. annie is a bird dog she points to the birds that are hidden in the tall grass or other places then flushes them out for the hunter to shoot then she gentle retrieves the bird without doing damage to the bird i don't hunt my dogs but it is natural instinct. i think she may have jumped on the cage and unlocked the latch is how the birds got out. i am so glad that it did not end up being worse than it was.

It definately ended up better than it could have. I'm lucky my one dog don't care and the other is too scared to go close because Kona bit her!
