lenny is growing up before my eyes :)

well i "took" lenny out today again. and by taking him out i just mean he sits on butch cage (pics below). anyways every day i take him out and but him on the perch on butchs cage. and some days he goes back and other days i have to put him back. well today my little brave Leonard went back in his cage, did his little 'how do i get back to butch?' dance and then he came out by HIMSELF for the first time of course it doesnt mean he's really comfortable coming out because butch was there and he does have some cage around him when he comes out so he feels safer (and so he can go back). he makes me so happy

these pics were from a week ago or so of his idea of coming out i have more perches for him to safely go back;

How sweet! Has separating them helped with taming?

they are so cute together. once lenny comes out butch will make his head all poofy and goes to sing to lenny. lenny will sometimes grab onto butchs cage and yesterday he did sing to him a little they really do love each other

it has helped soooooooooo much!!! i think lenny has gotten much better (he has learned to sing on command recently and i am teaching him 'high five' now ) i think butch is doing pretty good despite his trust issues i sill want at some point, when i have more time, to put lenny back with butch and train them together, but i have so much to do and lenny still needs more work before he can visit butch for the day
