Tiels and IRN?

I was wondering if anyone had a IRN and Tiels, How do they get along if at all?
I'm thinking about getting one, there is a baby at a near by breeders - it's 12 weeks old. How are they as pets? I've looked it up, but the sites are rather vague. Will a IRN bites my Tiels toes off if they climb on the IRN's cage?

I wouldn't allow my ringneck around my birds after how aggressive she was with my conures. Many birds will bite toes when on top of a cage because it's their territory and they don't like it. They can make wonderful companion parrots but they're not for everybody. Most birds are nervous and not very hands on. Though there are the occasional birds who do like a lot of contact. I would say it would take a toe off, leg off, crack a beak or even kill a cockatiel!

My sister has an IRN that hates her Tiels. Mine thinks he is one. He has a bit of an identity crisis. I think it's a rarity though.

I have a 3 year old Indian Ringneck who I have had since he was 8-9 weeks old and he loves the other birds, I can have him out with my Cockatiels, one of my GCCs (Leila) who he has been around since a baby, and my brothers Red-Collared Lorikeet. He has never been aggressive towards any of the birds, he is very laid back, much like my Cockatiels.

With that said, I wouldn't recommend just letting them out together, nor would I recommend letting Cockatiels to fly on top of an Indian Ringnecks cage, for the fact that they have a bigger, and stronger beak, and they could possibly bite a toe/toes off even a beak! You will need to do a slow introduction, but if there is any aggressiveness you will have to immediately remove the Indian Ringneck, otherwise it could turn nasty, and quite fast.

I two Irns my male Azreal hates Tiel. He would probably kill one if he could get ahold of one. He was raised with them from 8wks but he never took to them. My female Athena coud really care less if they are around her. She is alot older and calmer then him though. She is 13 now.
As for pets Azreal is the sweetest bird. He loves getting petted and he will snuggle which is not normally an Irn thing. Athena was a rescue and I cant touch her at all. But they will go through a few bluffing stages. So as with most birds I think it depends on their individual personalities.

It all depends on the birds. Some like other birds and can get along with them fine, others don't and can get aggressive.
