Scritches

Does your bird let you give him or her scritches I find with Phoenix its a once in a while event when he's really tired but he sure loves to cuddle. Is this a trust thing? He lets me lay him on his back in my hand he doesnt like it but he tolerates it and he lets me pat him so i know he isnt afraid of my hand.

How do your birds react? Lets post some pics shall we and make this a cute topic

Mr. Quaker doesn't like head stritches either so I don't force it on him . I can pick him up and put him on his back if I approach him slowly, but if I do any fast movement in front of him he will nip hard he hates fast moment.

I used to have a conure that liked receiving scritches on the side of her cheeks- she sort of opens her beak and yawns with enjoyment . But when I brought in another conure she wasn't interested in me scritching her anymore, she rather have another conure preen her.

My senegal likes me putting him on his back with his beak touching my lip and I scritches his head at the same time- he really like that .

The budgies only enjoy each other company, they can't be bothered about me

My only bird who likes scritches is Perry. Others will let me stroke them but they're really not that into it. Perry will do the whole puffing up and everything. Will post pictures soon Dexter used to have scritches from me but with Pickles around she doesn't need me. Harvey also likes a good head rub

Bob does not do scritches, strokes or snuggles. He will tolerate a head touch.
But, he just loves to give me kisses!

Apple loves scritches! My old cockatiel, Minnie, used to bang her head on my hands to get scritches. Apple doesn't do that, but definitely accepts them when I offer them!
