Conure Sounds: Specific To Certain Times/Places...

Krikkit the Noisy Nanday has developed the habit of making a couple of peculiar sounds which ONLY apply to certain very, very specific moments/situations. Anyone have any clues to the meanings of these?

1) When I drag her along for a car trip with me, she does things that I consider normal for the first 5-10 minutes -- dancing to the radio, climbing from my shoulders to the steering wheel and back, etc. After around the ten minute mark or so, however, she will start up with periodic high-pitched trills, each lasting about a second ["Prrreeeeeettt!"]. She doesn't do this when listening to music at home...

2) Krikkit is a veritable metronome, and she usually keeps fairly good time clicking in rhythm and rocking back & forth (or head-bobbing). But... when I've got her gripped to my chest to take her upstairs (yes, only UP the stairs) so I can return her to her cage w/o upsetting the budgies, she makes intermittent SINGLE clicks (no, they're not kisses, either) as we reach the middle point of the walk-up or so ["Tikk!" (pause) "Tikk!"]. Once we've made it up to the landing, she goes back to her usual sounds and actions.

Again; any ideas as to a specific meaning for either of these? Just curious.

Is there a clock or do he stairs make a click when you step on them that she may be mimicking?

They squeak a bit at the very top, but no clicking. And as far as clocks, she's not keeping a rhythm, just emitting one sigle, solo click about 2/3rds of the way up (not to mention that the clock at the bottom of the stairs by her 1st floor cage is an ancient electric timepiece with innards that groan and rumble instead of tick-tocking).
