o man... well.. biting can be maintained but it wont ever stop. But just Google this and you will get a lot more info.

As a personal opinion, when you get bit, try to show as little emotion as possible. I know it will hurt but try not to scream or say anything. Better thing to do is to know what behavior leads to the bird biting you and then just not doing it much. Perhaps when he is more familiar to who you are then you can also open up more. Is he your first bird? When did you get him? U2 is not exactly the easiest bird so hopefully you had done a lot of research before getting him and that he is not your first bird. but be prepared for a lifetime of screams and bites if you dont raise him right so start googling non stop!!!

what other birds you have? how long you had him? perhaps he just needs more time to adapt to the new environment.

he may need some time to adjust still

this thread may help, its a taming method used for skittish or aggressive birds, i used it for my lovebirds and it worked, but be patient because it can take many years

does he bite for any specific reason? like are you wearing a certain colour each time, are you acting a certain way? is there something in the room he might be scared of? are you reaching in his cage? birds bite for all sorts of reasons.

Don't give up on him, you've not long had him. Once he gets to know you he may stop. The best thing is to give him his own space and let him come to you. Give him time to settle first

Don't give up 'toos take longer to warm up than most birds because they are super sensitive.

I agree, toos are hyper sensitive birds. They are the most likely to be rehomed in their lives and each time it happens they get more problems, and take it more personally. It can take awhile for him to build trust with you. Just dont push him and be patient. Also try to avoid the bite. Anyone who has been bit by a large bird knows it is very hard not to react. So try and figure out what triggers the bite and avoid it. Good luck with your new boy.
