He's doing really well.
Although he finds it hard to move around the perch and cage with ease, he doesn't like to be on the floor.
I made him some smaller perches so now he can grip without falling all the time.
He is very friendly, and likes to come out for a cuddle.
Ziggy talks to him, and even though they speak different languages, I guess it's comforting for him to have another bird. They chat to each other for ages, and I think Ziggy's beginning to like him! (when I first got him, Ziggy would sqwawk and scream whenever I played with him! She was very jealous!)
I clipped his wings because although he could fly, he would wobble and swerve and then crash land, and I didn't want him to hurt himself.
I have realized as I examined him, that it's not his wing that droops, but his hip bone that sticks upward and out, which makes his limp worse.
He's certainly doesn't let his disability alter his life, and he runs across my floor (well, limps) and there is certainly
nothing wrong with that beak of his!
He reminds me so much of Mr Tinkles. Friendly and happy, and a little clown. Geez, I've missed the funny antics of budgies!
So far, I'm pretty sure he's going to live a pretty normal life.
