Cleaning natural wood perches

Am I ok to use vinegar and water to clean the natural wood perches in my indoor aviary? they're too big and cumbersome to remove so will have to be cleaned in place.

Yes. I have used apple cider vinegar or white vinegar for 2 years now and the cages are clean along with the wood perches of all types. It is safe for us and them.

I've read that you should use branches that haven't had any chemicals sprayed on them, then clean them in 10 percent bleach water solution. You should leave the branches in their for ten to fifteen minutes. To kill insects from branches, you must bake the branches in 350 F oven for thirty minutes.
