Gizmo has the itchies

So Gizmo (6 month old sennie) has a serious case of the itchies.... She is scratching like mad, primarily the top of her head. She has no bald patches and is not plucking her feathers. She does seem to be molting, as many of her baby down feathers have been shedding. She bathes regularly (in her drinking water!) and seems perfectly healthy in every other aspect. Any ideas? Poor girl is really having a tough time...

It would be the molting Molting makes a bird very itchy. I would maybe mist her once a day to help her feel better and even helping her loosen up some pin feathers would make her feel some relief.

Definitely sounds like moulting to me. If she won't accept being misted, you can steam up your bathroom using the shower and let the steam work it's magic into those pinnies. It will help soften them up. If she lets you scritch her then that would be an excellent time to do it!
