Beak peel

So I've noticed Russ's beak is peeling a bit lately on one side with a white sort of texture, its been while he is moulting, is this normal I head beaks only peel if they're unhealthy but he eats his daily pellets and veggies and fruits everyday. He also used his beak an aweful lot so Im thinking this could be the reason as well.

I heard they only peal if there is something wrong, too, but my avian vet checks my birds yearly, and she said not to worry about Roni, whose beak peals often. I'm sure that doesn't help, but it is all I have.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

No that helps a lot Nanay because I know you take the best care of your birds, I think its just probably the bird, I mean Russ really uses his beak, so Ill just wait and make sure its not peeling more if so Ill take him in.

Hmm I think Bob posted something very similar about this too! I can't see that there's anything wrong with it, especially if he uses his beak a lot

Yeah, Kiki's used to. I thought it was normal, but I had just recently read something that said that meant something was wrong. But Kiki's just fine and eating well...

theyre beaks grow and shed layers off as they grow. it happens to all birds. if its excessive or overgrowning i believe theres a problem.
