Exclamation Scully's Clip

How long do you guys think it takes for a grey's wing clip to grow back anough to fly again? Scully, whenever ontop of his cage, flaps his wings really fast and I think it could just be exercizing. He often climbs down from the top to the bottom (inside the cage) and flaps his wings. But, when he does it outside his cage his legs strech out up high! If he takes of, I'm a gonner....... What do you guys think?

He may take some time, it's different with different birds. My cockatiels grow back within like two weeks, my lovebirds are still having there's grown back and it has been months. I dunno if the rule applies, but surely a bird who is larger would take longer? I would assume that he would be exercising though if he's flapping his wings hard. When my conure is in his cage he will often flap really really fast on his perch and obviously fly around a ton when he is out. If you want him to stay clipped but he has a few extra feathers coming through, you could trim him now before they all grow back just to keep him in check that is.

If I'm gonna clip his obviously longer feathers, I'm going to be a nija with the scissors!

How many flights has he grown back in?

Ashlynn hasn't grown in even a single flight from her first clip, which would have been a good 10 months ago. They regrow feathers as they go through a natural molt.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

All flight feathers were like 1/3 grown, I think. One though is like 8 inches lonch at least, it REALLY sticks out!
