Question need help

i have a lovebird just got her yesterday the man i got her from said she had hurt her foot on the perch in the tin cage he gave me. i could not see anything but when i got up this morning i noticed she had a little blood on her beak. i got her out and examined her she has a cut on her toe and it is a little swell. i called the vet and they told me to put antibiotic on it and rape it up and if it was bleeding us four. i did that but she had the wrap off in 5 min. and keeps messing with her foot what can i do to stop her messing with it and is it ok to not bandage it just put antibiotic on it. she was really upset about the bandage? the vet said if she gets to where she does not us it or it swells really bad to bring her in.

If she won't leave the bandage on, just put the antibiotic on and keep a close eye on her. If it keeps bleeding, use a little flour to stop the bleeding. If she still picks at it or wont leave it alone, then I would take her to the vet

Like Jenny said, except I use corn starch, it stops the bleeding a little quicker. Flour works too though.
