As A Bird ages

Does the feathers grow in slower then it would be if it was younger?
My one budgie I clipped in august still has no flights in and she keeps breaking her tail. Shes the only one that was clipped at the time and their still not coming in!

Maybe so, I can imagine they slow down when they're older but I've never really thought about it. My clipped birds are clipped one day and flighted the next

Maxx was clipped when I got him, he went through his first molt and did not lose 1 flight feather. I am hoping that on his next mold he will lose them, as he is severely clipped.

then theres likely a problem. shes not old, thats young. if shes growing feathers in slower than before, theres likely a health problem.

still, not an old enough age where i think it would affect a molt. has she been acting ok the last little while? has it been colder? warmer? anything changed in her diet or habits? or environment?
