Filtered or Tap water?

I use a Brita filter so all my tap water runs through it. This is the only water I have ever given Maxx. I wonder if he is missing out on certain minerals that would be in the tap water, and filtered out with the Brita water filter. What do you all use for your birds water.

I imagine the tap water varies from town to town. We have really good tap water here, so that's what we, the birds and the dogs drink.

I use a brita filter too, just to be safe but now that I think about the minerals...

I only give filtered drinking water to everybody and that's all I drink myself.

we have excellent tap water here, the best in our province for water cleaning process (learned this on a science field trip where i got to go to one of our water treatment plants) so we all drink the tap water.

look into how many steps they use to clean their water. ours goes through 3 steps, most only do 2 steps. ours uses ultraviolet light to disinfect our water.

The UK is good for water, that I'm aware of! So I don't use a filter. Never had a problem

Same here! Our tap water is excellent. Everybody drinks it, even the birds. I've heard somewhere that it isn't so wise to switch from tap to filtered/bottled water if for their whole lives they've drank tap water, but I may be wrong.

Everyone seems to think their water is so fabulous.
I don't really like Florida's tap water....

I don't like California's water at all, it has too many chemicals in it including arsenic. I love water.

I use filtered water through a britta filter. I was told that the chlorine and chemicals in the water could be harmful to birds digestive tracts
