Fingers crossed for Niko

For the past couple of days niko has not been himself. He has not really been talking or flock calling, and has been sleeping alittle more then usual. So this morning I took him to the vet. She gave him an exam said everything felt good except he is alittle fat.(558g)His eyes ,and nose is clear, resperation(sp) is good. So they did a fecal which was negative. So now we have to wait for the blood work results. I am hoping everything is ok. So if you guys could send some good thoughts our way it would be greatly appriecated.

I really hope everything is ok I feel like crying 24/7 I am so worried. My vet found nothing wrong but I am still worried and waiting for the blood work. He is eating and drinking his poop was watery yesterday but seems to be back to normal today. But he is sleeping alot, and not talking which really worries me. But when my hubby comes back into the room he is doing his niko back flips to get attention. He is also shivering but he seem to do that. I am so worried the results can"t get here soon enough.

i have a few silly questions....

is he molting?

have the temps changed in your home?

has your husband been away more than usual lately? if he is bonded to your husband he may want more attention from him and could be depressed if hes not around as much or not giving him the same attention hes gotten from him before.

there are possibilities...

He hasn't started moulting but I was wondering if it was in the early stages neveen our tiel acts like this when she moults
the temp is the same as it always is
He is notreally bonded to hubby, but I yelled at him the other day which I don't normally do he bit me and I was already having a bad day and I yelled I felt terrible after words. He started acting like this after that.
I am just freaking out because I toook him to vet and she said he looked good but I just feel like something is not right.

it sounds like a molt could be coming in. cranky, a little more tired than normal. increase vitamin A and protein in his diet and give him more baths, that might really help

OK I will try that. I was thinking that but I thought it would be best to take him to the vet. Now I am still hoping for good blood work. Thanks

yeah, a lot of weight off your shoulders. as said, we know how you feel, we've all been there and we definately understand. thats what is nice about forums, if theres a problem, or something needing to be off your chest where no one else will understand, you will always be able to vent here!

I constantly worry.
Vets always best.
Have you given Niko extra cuddles?
Birds are complicated.
