Luckily Budgie is ok

A few weeks ago, before leaving for vacation I got new toys for the fids. I'm so glad I was home and noticed a problem today. (all three were acting weird). Pippy the budgie needs her nails cut, but I've not done it yet as I didn't want to go backwards in trust. Her toe nail got caught in 2 tiny threads of this toy. It was one of her favorites too. Even with nails clipped, I don't trust it. I had to use scissors to get her delicate little toe out. Luckily she's ok!!She was all flushed when I finally got her freed. Just thought I'd share, we all know to check toys constantly, but even then, things can go wrong.

Ohh I'm glad nothing serious happened. My blue throat conure liked the sleep with his head in the middle of this preening toy. It has a plastic top and then like thread ropes hanging down but I always feared he'd wrap it around his neck so I took it away. Its always sad when its a favorite toy
