Question Losing a tail feather?

Today Felix my GCC lost a tail feather today. We were playing around and gave him scratches. He ran away and got caught in the covers. I got him out minus a tail feather. His hatch date is 10/02 so I wasn't sure if his first not could be starting?

Sometimes feathers are pulled out easily... If he is not moulting and it was just one feather I would not worry... Some birds never seem to have a big moult.. They just seem to lose a feather here and there.

I'm not sure... My green cheek is about 2 and I have had her since 3 months... She has never had a major moult... Just dropped a feather or 2 every now and then.

My GCC is also just past 6 months and is starting a major moult. She is super itchy and cranky, and keeps bathing and preening. Almost looks like a hedgehog. She's a good girl, asking for scritches and all, but I'm afraid if you all saw her now you'd think she is abused lol! I will post a pic of her yanking a tail feather out two weeks ago and the new pin feather that's taken its place since when I get home.
