Wow never saw a tiel with those markings and color. Thanks Tippa on the tip as to what kind of bird. My hubby is in disbelief it's a tiel. My first bird was a female pearl tiel with orange cheeks, she was beautiful but so different from a white face.

So is she Cookie yet? I just wanted to add I enjoyed seeing you too! What I'm thinking is I'm a bit jealous my first bird was a tiel her dust was really hard on me so I never got another. Enjoy!!!

Thanks everyone! she is young, about 7 weeks (which is probably too young, but I was told told she has been weaned for a little while...) she is just perfect If she turns out to be a girl, she will keep these "pearl" markings and if it is a boy then her wings will become solid grey after molting (here's hoping for a girl!!) she just wants to be with us all the time, it's adorable, but we have to remind her to eat because otherwise she would just forget

we rehomed Chickachoo (the male cockatiel) because he just wasn't fitting in with our other two. He was extremely aggressive towards Chip (the budgie) and was putting Muffin over the edge with mating and constant nesting. I gave him to the woman who owns the shop I got Muffin from and she gave me this baby in return. So far so good!

Sounds like a fair exchange and it all worked out for the best! But yes, 7 weeks is very young. I don't let my budgies go until 8 weeks and my tiels until 12 so just keep an eye on her. She definitely wouldn't have been weaned for a while at that age especially not hand reared anyway. Parent raised birds develop a lot faster and wean a lot quicker but still, 7 weeks ain't right Fingers crossed things stay good so far then

Wow she's young! I got my handreared Ivy at 8 weeks and she was fully weaned. It is a tad scary though just make sure you see her eating lots and maybe weigh her regularly so you know if she's gaining/losing

she is so demanding haha I love her little grunts and protests... most of the time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTMUIamDAik

might have to call her Princess

she has been eating well today and yesterday! and she has great energy (when she isn't napping) haha she cries if I don't pick her up bc she would rather nap on my arm than in her cage!

Such a beautiful girl! Whiteface pearl is probably my favorite tiel mutation, it's so pretty. And she has such a sweet face, such big eyes! Congrats!
