I just commented on your new bub over on TB, but again, congratulations! Isn't it funny how a few days ago a few of us told you to get a female budgie ? Your flock are lovely

I know!! Maybe it's karma We have only had her for a week, our neighbor rang our doorbell last Saturday with this little budgie in a box, he caught it in his garage and thought it was one of ours that got out (supposedly, I don't know if I believe his story because this little girl would likely have died out in the elements with the FREEZING temperatures lately) so I brought her in and of course my bf said "we're not keeping her, 3 is enough" but them he named her and she has gotten along well with the others so far, mostly. She is definitely spunky! So we are "still waiting for an owner" to contact us through the missing ad I posted, but I'm hoping we can eventually keep her Unfortunately we couldn't quarantine because it's too cold in a separate room to keep her alone in there, but she seems to fit right in!

She's beautiful!! Was she clipped when your neighbor found her? Poor thing could have frozen or starved to death! God bless you for giving her such a wonderful home! I'm sure she's going to be one pampered little Peanut!!

Ps...your whole flock is beautiful!!

She wasn't, but she was SO fast and our room isn't very big so I was afraid she was going to hurt herself so I clipped her, I didn't want her flying into the walls or windows. Plus the other 3 were freaked by her because Muffin can't fly, obviously, Spook has feather issues so he can't completely fly yet (I think he was plucked as a baby and still hasn't completely grown in his flights, he's almost 5 months) and Chip has his flights partially clipped, for the same reason of flying into walls. I will let all of their grow back in, but I don't keep them constantly for safety reasons. Also, our front door is in the same room as they are so god forbid one of them were to fly out

Wow! How did your neighbor catch her? It's a miracle she was in his garage and he was able to catch her! I guess she was meant to be yours!

Beautiful flock! your're lucky, the new budgie looks so sweet and healthy, and tame. I think birds know to look for being indoors or with people, because that's where they've been. 2 yrs ago I was working out in my yard. Something landed on my shoulder think a bug I shooed it away twice. The third time I turned my head to see a pretty blue budgie with unclipped wings and dirty feet from looking for food. I had to shoo it away one more time, so it flew to the fence. I ran in doors for a carrier with food and water. When I came out she flew back to my shoulder, so I was able to gently grab her and put her in. The budgie is very happy now! My friend saw a tiel just sitting on the sidewalk went out was able to pick it up. She has a beautiful bird, never thinking she would want one is so smitten over this tiel

He caught her with a net he had, she is definitely NOT tame with us, she is terrified, poor thing, but she definitely enjoys the other birds she is SO tiny, especially compared to the cockatiels! she's like a little ray of sunshine!
