Evening atmosphere in Duesseldorf

Janosch and Paulchen are sitting beside me under the open window with free flight frame chattering to their wild colleagues outside.

That is too cute. The green one (Janosch?) has the funniest expressions while listening to the wild birds. Watching your linnies makes me want more

So sweet! Lately Cleo has been chirping her little heart out trying to talk to the birds outside since we have the door to the deck open with just the screen so she can hear them. It's so cute!

I keep the window to my bird room open, weather permitting since my birds love to listen to other birds as well. Makes for an interesting day for them and me I enjoy watching my linnies react to new things. That's one reason why I have a supply of bird toys.

I agree Judy, I love watching Cleo experience new things. She's quite fearless usually! Yesterday my Dad and I were putting together a new cage I bought (temporary small one for new linnie and maybe sleep cage eventually? I'm not sure yet) Anyways, she was all over the pieces of the cage as we were putting it together (had to be careful to not get her little feet caught!) But it was hilarious, she just had to be right there on top of what we were focusing on. Gave Dad a laugh, he looked her right in the eye and called her a big nosy goofball lol

My linnies love to watch when I paint (the paint is safe for birds) They line up on their bird tree since it's next to my painting table to lean over just watching. Skyler does jump down on the table for a closer look. They are so nosy, love it!

Yes nosy is the right word hahaha! What kind of painting do you do? Acrylic? Do you do landscapes? I've been getting interested in art more and more and been getting the urge to start trying something; painting or drawing maybe. I'd love to learn since I never got to do much of it in school really.

I've been taking adult ed. class for years first for drawing, than painting. I prefer acrylic paint, it dries fast and is very forgiving. When dry if I don't like a color I can paint right over it. Can't do it with water colors. And oils take so long to dry plus the fumes will kills birds. I do mostly landscapes all sizes. Will paint cottages if they look interesting. Have done a few birds, and flowers to decorate our bedroom wall. Sometimes it's just looking at a picture liking it enough to paint it. I give my paintings away. I have sold a few paintings but I truly get more pleasure from giving them to people I know.
