Budgie Bugger

He just can't take NO for an answer!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6Q4...0HYvxCAZ6SOJrA

This is a daily ritual in our house, definitely in the morning and usually around dinner time. This is also the reason why I got Peeps (which unfortunately didn't work out because she was attacking the tiels) and why I should have kept Peanut (which I highly regret rehoming her). Otherwise they are fine during the day.

He just gets in these moods where he wants to feed her face but she doesn't want anything of it. I can' give him mirrors because he gets obsessive. I'm still debating if maybe another male budgie would be a solution, or if it would make things worse between the budgies and tiels I really don't want to have to keep them in separate cages, they're all used to being out and about when we are home. I just wish he wasn't so adamant about it! Muffin really does love him because she chooses to sit near him in the cage a lot, but she is not a fan of his "affection" lol

That's a problem. I can understand both of them. The budgie wants to have close contact with another bird, and the tiel refuses.
Does the budgie have a friend of his species?

No, we've had 2 separate females, I rehomed the first one because she was a rescue (neighbor found her in his garage and gave her to me) and I was overwhelmed with Chewy's broken leg recovery so I ended up rehoming her, I never should have, and I tried a second female but she would attack the cockatiels I would love to get him another budgie but that means I have to get a second large cage and I really don't have the room where we are right now. I'm afraid if I get a male that it will be 2 boys picking on my tiels, it's a tough situation. They really do get along fine, he just goes through this "feeding" desire for like 10 minutes every morning.

It's a shame that you don't have room for another cage as I reckon that would have done the trick all together He's very cute though, and huge!
