Awh they're adorable! Muffin reminds me of Harvey. I miss him so much. I never understood the joys of a hands on cockatiel (especially not one that I had raised myself) but I fell in love so hard!

Awh thank you! I'm sorry though, I didn't want to bring a downer on your thread! It's really hard. I think about my birds on a daily basis. Obviously I have parent raised aviary birds but they want nothing to do with me. I don't really mind, I can appreciate them from a distance and admire them for sure! I just miss the relationships I had with my flock members. In all honesty though, as I've said in other threads, I won't have birds in my house ever again. It's a really hard decision to make but it's for the best. If I was given a hand raised bird I would hope that I could get them in to living outdoors and enjoying aviary life, even see if they got on with another bird, but I don't want to risk bringing birds indoors again. The most annoying part is even after our boiler had been fixed, not long before we left we had it serviced again... it was STILL leaking occasionally! It's so awful. I'm really thrilled I've left that terrible house and area. But yeah. I've learnt some hard lessons in keeping birds. Psittacosis and various other illnesses, air pollutants, aggressive birds harming others... it's not nice, but at least I've learnt

I understand your decision. You gave those birds they best life and care that you could and what happened was by NO MEANS your fault You care so much about your animals and it really shows in your passion for their well being! You are a true role model in the bird world

Thank you :hugs: I certainly wasn't made to feel that way at the time (not by you guys!). I've probably mentioned it somewhere on the forum but if you ever wanna hear the story I'm more than happy to PM you!
